Lamar CISD Greenlights Elementary in Jordan Ranch
Elementary #34 in Lamar Consolidated Independent School District is a go — and it’s going in Jordan Ranch.
Design of the school — to be located on a large site along Jordan Ranch Boulevard — is expected to begin this October with construction scheduled to start next May. The district anticipates it opening for the 2023-24 school year.
The school is part of a bond package passed last November that included $99.4 million for three new elementary schools.
Currently, young Jordan Ranch students attend Lindsey Elementary, opened in 2017. Students in sixth grade go to Roberts Middle School, another relatively new school that opened in 2019. Seventh and eighth grade students attend Leaman Junior High while older students finish their LCISD journey at Fulshear High School. Both campuses opened on adjacent properties in 2016.
Although Lamar CISD is one of the area’s fastest-growing school districts, it remains committed to putting students first with sixth-grade-only middle schools and smaller high school enrollments that give students more opportunities to get involved and assume leadership roles. The district is an H-E-B Excellence in Education Large District winner.
