Roberts Middle School is named after James W. Roberts, a veteran of the U.S. navy, former teacher, and textbook entrepreneur. With his foresight and initiative, he helped Fulshear become an incorporated city in 1978. He served as the new city’s first mayor, establishing a police department ad securing land for Fulshear’s first school.
